How to Create a Tasks Database in Notion (Great for Beginners!)

πŸ‘‹ Wohoo, I have a second Notion video on my YouTube Channel now! It was a lot of fun to make and I hope you’ll be able to follow along and create a Tasks Database in Notion with me!

Notion is a productivity app that has completely changed the way I plan and organise my life. In this video we will create a Master Tasks / To Do’s overview + create a linked view of this overview to only show Tasks you need to do Today and Tasks that can get done in 10 minutes or less.

Here is the formula for the “Days Left” Column:

empty(prop(“Due Date”)) ? “” : concat(format(abs(dateBetween(prop(“Due Date”), now(), “days”)) + 1), format((dateBetween(prop(“Due Date”), now(), “days”) + 1 <= 0) ? ” days overdue” : ((dateBetween(prop(“Due Date”), now(), “days”) + 1 > 0) ? ” days remaining” : “”)))

Watch the video here:

What to expect from this Notion Tutorial?

I give you a short intro to linked databases, database views and Notion properties.

  • How do I organise all of my todos in Notion?
  • How do I create a todos/ tasks board in Notion?
  • How can I create a Weekly Overview Page in Notion?
  • How to use Notion for tasks management?

-> I try to answer these questions here.

I hope you enjoy the video, and please let me know if you have any questions about starting out in Notion and what it can do!
